Problem:

We can no longer access the Collaboration Hub with the existing browser certificate.

Solution:

The access problems are related to a certificate change, which was carried out due to a new security standard.

Your currently configured and distributed browser certificates for access to the Collaboration Hub no longer work since August 25, 2020.

To re-create the certificate, you need to remove the old certificate, create a new certificate and unroll it.
This process is described on this site

The following text was sent to the workspace owners in advance

We are currently in the process of updating various infrastructure libraries to the latest versions in order to ensure the highest security standards. The constant evolution of our IT infrastructure and the application of modern technology are of great importance to us. This evolution is essential in order to be able to offer you solutions in the future, whose availability and security will be guaranteed and constantly improved.

The required updates are incompatible with current client-side security certificates that are used to authenticate in the Collaboration Hub. We identified your workspace as one of the few using such a certificate. This certificate will soon become invalid and needs to be recreated.

Your currently configured and distributed browser certificates will not work anymore after 13/July/2020.

To recreate the certificate, you will need to remove the old certificate, create a new certificate and ask users of your workspace to install the new certificates in their browsers. This process is documented at this page. If you are a user of the Signavio SharePoint App to make the Signavio Collaboration Hub accessible in your Microsoft Sharepoint environment, you additionally will need to replace your current installation with a new version of the app. Please follow the instructions in our documentation to download and install the Signavio SharePoint App.

However, we recommend using this occasion to switch to an authentication method that will allow you to leverage the collaboration and personalization capabilities of the Signavio Velocity Edition

Signavio recommends all customers to rely on the SAML 2.0 standard for authentication. You can find more information on how to enable SAML 2.0 single-sign on in our official documentation. Alternatively, you can rely on username/password authentication for accessing the Collaboration Hub.

We are happy to support you in switching to a new form of authentication or recreating your certificate. Please reach out to your Customer Success manager or the Signavio Support team.
